Helper En Plein Aire Committee announces the 2026 competition August 18-21 that will coincide with The Helper Arts Music and Film Festival which is held August 21-23.
The En Plein Aire Competition will begin prior to the Festival on August 18. Painters will have three and a half days to paint within the boundaries of Carbon County. Competition ends on August 21. Awards will be announced at a reception at 6 o’clock in the evening on August 21 at the Helper Art Workshops Building, 76 S Main Street, Helper, Utah. A live auction for first, second and third place paintings will follow. A Quick-draw event with silent auction will be hosted on the morning of August 22 9a-2pm for those interested.
This is a cash prize competition: First Prize is $2,500, second prize $1500, third prize $500. Honorable mentions are given at…
